Ford F-150 Stereo Installation Instructions

Ford uses a system for removing the inventory stereos in its vehicles, vehicles and SUVs requiring DIN removing keys. The DIN removal keys are instruments designed to extract the manufacturing facility stereo without having to take away any of the dashboard panels that surround the stereo dock. The system not only eliminates a lot of the chance of interfering with some other elements throughout stereo repair or replacement, it makes for an easier process in doing so. So simple is the duty that it is pointless to pay an expert automobile audio technician to put in your stereo. Purchase the DIN elimination keys, the faceplate and wiring harness adapters, and do it yourself.

Ford F-150 Stereo Installation Instructions

1. Raise the hood of the Ford F-a hundred and fifty by pulling the hood launch lever beneath the dashboard, beneath and to the left of the steering column.
2. Take away the rubber cover over the damaging battery terminal. Loosen the unfavorable battery cable’s clamp with the ten mm wrench and pull the cable from the terminal lead. Place the cable away from the battery until the new radio has been installed.
3. Squeeze the Ford DIN elimination keys barely to suit them into the receiving holes on either side of the stereo’s face. Push the keys into the holes till they lock into place.
4. Pull the keys outward while simultaneously pulling the stereo from the dashboard of the truck. Pull the stereo far enough from the sprint to reach the wiring connections at the rear of the radio.
5. Pull the stereo wiring from the again of the deck. The wiring is grouped together with white plastic wire binders. Pull the binders, not the person Ford stereo wires.
6. Insert the set up kit sleeve into the empty stereo mounting dock. The sleeve will slide into the sprint opening, leaving metallic tabs protruding from the stereo mounting dock. Fold the tabs around the edges of the sleeve to safe the sleeve into the mounting dock.
7. Reach into the dock and pull out the stereo wiring and antenna cable. Plug the stereo wiring binders into the appropriate leads on the wiring harness adapter.
8. Plug the wiring harness adapter leads into the corresponding retailers on the again panel of the aftermarket stereo. Plug the antenna cable into the “FM antenna” outlet on the rear panel of the new radio.
9. Slide the stereo into the installation sleeve until it snaps into place. The face of the new stereo will be level with the surrounding trim of the sprint panel as soon as it is totally seated.
10. Place the unfavourable battery cable clamp onto the damaging battery lead. Tighten the cable to the submit with the wrench and change the cover over the adverse battery terminal. Shut the hood.
