Toyota Matrix Radio/Stereo Installation Instructions

The Toyota Matrix was first launched in 2003 as a hatchback different to the Corolla sedan. Upgrading the manufacturing unit stereo in a Matrix is a simple process you could complete in minimal time with out the help of knowledgeable installer. To put in an after-market stereo you will have a touch adapter, as a result of after-market stereos are a lot smaller than the Matrix’s factory stereo.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable out of your Matrix’s battery.
2. Pry the trim panel surrounding the manufacturing unit stereo away from the dashboard. Slide a flat head screwdriver behind the panel and press out to unlock the retaining clips holding the trim panel in place.
3. Take away the four 10mm bolts holding the factory stereo in place. Slide the stereo out of the dashboard and disconnect the wiring harness and antenna cable from the again of the stereo.
4. Slide the cage included together with your after-market stereo into the dash adapter. Slide the stereo into the cage. Connect the wires from the dashboard to the back of your stereo. All after-market stereos have slightly completely different set up directions, so check with the owner’s manual accompanying your stereo for correct connection instructions.
5. Slide the sprint adapter and stereo meeting into the dashboard. Just like the stereo, all sprint adapters have barely completely different set up instructions. Confer with the instruction sheet included together with your adapter to make the correct installation. Use the previously removed 10mm bolts to mount the adapter in place.
6. Change the trim panel and reconnect the negative battery cable.
