Ford Ranger Amplifier Installation Instructions

Ford Ranger owners who want a highly effective car sound system have several methods to improve their inventory stereo. Changing the factory speakers will present a clearer and louder sound, and a new stereo deck will supply greater capability and management; but each stereo system could be tremendously improved by adding an aftermarket amplifier. An amplifier boosts the sign coming out of the stereo, offering more quantity and a clearer signal via the speakers. Have an expert install your amp for a charge or do it your self for free.

Ford Ranger amplifier Installation Instructions

1. Disconnect the grounding cable from the Ranger’s adverse battery terminal with a wrench. Rest the cable away from the battery till the amp is installed.
2. Attach the amplifier wiring package ring terminal to the constructive battery lead. Route the wiring from the ring terminal by the firewall and into the cabin of the truck.
3. Take away the factory speaker. Squeeze the Ford removal keys and insert the prongs into the holes on either facet of the stereo face. Pull outward on the keys and slide the stereo from the dashboard.
4. Disconnect the stereo wiring from the back of the inventory deck and connect the wiring to a wiring harness adapter. Join the wiring harness adapter leads to the again of the radio.
5. Join the turn-on lead and signal cable, from the amplifier wiring package, to the wiring harness adapter.
6. Feed the amplifier cables, from the wiring harness adapter, by means of the opening in the back left panel of the stereo mounting dock. The wiring will emerge in the footwell area on the passenger’s side.
7. Position the stereo into the stereo mounting dock by pushing the unit into the sprint and eradicating the Ford elimination keys.
8. Place the amplifier beneath the motive force or passenger’s seat of the truck. Place plastic spacers beneath the amp to allow for ventilation.
9. Join the sign and power cables to the amplifier. Plug the turn-on lead into the amp.
10. Join speaker wire to the amplifier and route them to the audio system you need impacted by the boosted signal. Connect the wiring to the speakers.
11. Place the grounding cable clamp across the adverse lead post. Tighten the clamp to the post with the wrench.
